Getting UnStuck. It really can be as simple as….

Yesterday, I sat with my children on the couch and watched the 1960’s classic Christmas special “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” It was one of my favorites as a child and is now a favorite with my kids.

But with one child sick, one car in the shop, and several of my Christmas todo’s not getting done, I was starting to stress out. The biggest factor was a project that I have coming due the beginning of January. It was something very new for me and I didn’t even know how to begin to tackle it.  I was stuck , BIG TIME!

I knew I had allowed myself to become too emotionally attached to the outcome. The anxiety, fear and wanting had me frozen solid.  Like tieing a knot in a garden hose…what should be flowing becomes stopped up tight with pressure building behind it. Watch Out! I’s Gonna Blow! (And make a mess out of everything.)

Well, as I watched this childrens special, I realized it had the answer right there.

Kris Kringle had just melted the winter warlock’s heart by giving him a present. However, the Winter warlock was affraid he would not be able to change into a good warlock. As the song “Put One Foot in Front of the Other” played, I relized that getting unstuck really can be that easy…

Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you’ll be walkin’ ‘cross the flo-o-or
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you’ll be walkin’ out the door.

You never will get where you’re goin’
If you never get up on your feet
Come on! There’s a good tail wind blowin’
A fast walkin’ man is hard to beat!

Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you’ll be walkin ‘cross the flo-o-or
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you’ll be walkin’ out the door.

If you want to change your direction
If you’re time of life is at hand
Well don’t be the rule — be the exception
A good way to start is to stand.

Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you’ll be walkin ‘cross the flo-o-or
Put one foot in front of the other

And soon you’ll be walkin’ out the door.

And the beautiful part is by simply putting one foot in front of the other and taking a single step, energy begins to flow again and momentum can once again start building.

So the next time you are stuck, facing a daunting task or frozen with fear and anxiety, become the Winter Warlock and focus on One Step….and soon you will be “walkin ‘cross the flo-o-or.”

May the coming year be filled with as many Single Steps as you need to keep growing toward your desires and may the perfect song always come to your awareness!

Wishing you a Happy Holiday Season and  “Your Intuitive Best!”
