Sometimes you may want to have a link in one post that takes the reader to another category on you blog.
Just follow these steps:
- Login to your admin area.
- When your Dashboard comes up, click on Categories.
- Make note of the Name of the Category you want to link too.
- When you get to the area of your post where you want to place the link, click on the HTML tab in the Upper Right corner of you post editor screen. (There are two tabs there one says Visual and the other says HTML)
- This will allow you to type in the correct HTML code with ease.
- Type the link exactly as follows, EXCEPT type in the name of the category you are linking to, in place of the number “7“.<a href=”index.php?cat=7“>Category Title</a>
For example if I want to link this post to my Business category I would type the link like this:
<a href=”index.php?cat=Business”>A Link to my Business Category</a> And it will display as this:
A Link to my Business Category - Then Click on the Visual tab in the upper right corner of your post editor screen to switch back to the visual mode.
- Complete the rest of your post and you should be good to go.
